| Scheduling
an Apppointment:
If
you have exhausted all means of conservative
care, i.e.: physical therapy, anti-inflammatory
medications, other medical care, are not a surgical
candidate, and you still have no relief from
your pain, then we may be of help to you. Your
doctor may refer you to our facility, but it
is not necessary.

Preparing for your appointment:
We request that you bring a few recent notes from
your doctor and any related diagnostic reports (or
have your doctor fax them) so that the physician can
review them prior to your appointment. Your first
visit will consist of getting to know your pain doctor.
The doctor will perform an extensive history and physical
examination to determine your specific treatment plan.
If you are a candidate for one of the outpatient treatments
described on our Treatments
page, then that treatment will be scheduled at the
earliest available appointment times. Oftentimes,
the procedure needs authorization prior to scheduling.
Our efficient, friendly and professional staff will
authorize all of your treatments, diagnostic tests
(MRIs, etc), physical therapy, referrals to other
specialists, and whatever else is necessary to complete
your treatment here at Comprehensive Pain Medicine,
Inc.
Should you be a candidate for one of the outpatient
procedures, you will need someone to drive you to
and from your procedure appointment. You can usually
resume normal activity the following day. There are
little or no side effects from these procedures; however,
if you do experience any unusual symptoms or pain,
our nurses are available to assist you.
We also have a 24-hour answering service for your
convenience, so feel free to call us anytime at 850-969-9804.
